Why is there an application?
MHA is a premiere learning institute with a limited capacity of acceptance each year. Each accepted student will be held to a high standard of expectation and the application helps us understand each student, and their interest and abilities before we begin working together.
Is it possible to not be accepted?
We don’t turn away any students who are genuinely interested in learning at MHA. But, because of the limited number of spots available each year it is possible that you will be placed on a waiting list to be accepted once a spot has opened.
How many lessons does the monthly fee cover?
Each student will receive one lesson per week. Generally this will equal 4 lessons a week, but in the instance of a month with an additional week there will be an additional charge added to your invoice.
What are some topics covered in group classes?
Students of MHA are invited to attend topic driven workshops that are designed to help young musicians build and develop a future career in music. Class topics range from budgeting and billing for gigs, website development, social media presence development, recording skills, yoga and meditation, performance anxiety, to resilience and confidence building and more. MHA students will be given a discount to these workshops.
